TreeKeepers, Baltimore City Recreation and Parks

Jan 10 | 10:00 AM - 1:30 PM

TreeKeepers is TreeBaltimore’s free, city-wide tree stewardship program, open to anyone interested in Baltimore’s trees, age 15 and up. Through this series of classes, residents learn how to plant and care for street trees and trees around their schools and in their parks. The program also builds a community of people who care about Baltimore City’s trees and who want to help care for and advocate for our tree canopy.

TreeKeepers: Introduction to Pruning and Pruning Field Session teaches residents the basics of tree purning. Introduction is an indoor class that explains the importance of pruning, the biology of pruning, the goals of pruning and proper pruning techniques. Pruning Field Session is an outdoor pruning tutorial that immediately follows the indoor class. Instructors lead hands on pruning training.
