After working at several Maryland State Parks, including a time as Assistant Manager of Harriet Tubman Underground Railroad State Park in Church Creek, Maryland, Ranger Angela Crenshaw became the first black female Park Manager in the history of the Maryland Park Service. In April 2023 she was appointed the Acting Director of the Maryland Park Service and was offered the full Directorship in November 2023.
