The Smithsonian Environmental Research Center (SERC) and Cooper Hewitt Smithsonian Design Museum are pleased to host a three-day professional development workshop for middle and high school educators on-site at SERC in Edgewater, Maryland. The workshop will showcase how to make meaning of local environmental data, and use the design process to envision ways that data can support action.

Because we will focus on local data, we will prioritize applications from local educators. But, space permitting we are open to engaging educators who do not live locally if the content is relevant to you. Educators who attend this workshop are able to get Professional Development Points (PDPs).
