Bmore Beautiful and Audubon Mid-Atlantic

Dec 09 | 7:00 PM - 8:30 PM

Layers of native plants support birds and butterflies, and make Baltimore’s communities more resilient to climate change. Learn how to transform your home, school, work, or community space into an urban oasis, and convince your neighbors to do the same. Audubon will share practical tips and resources needed to beautify your outdoor space and attract beneficial wildlife.

This workshop will be led by Erin Reed Miller, Senior Coordinator of Urban Conservation for the Baltimore Program of Audubon Mid-Atlantic, part of National Audubon Society. Erin earned her MS in Wildlife Ecology from the University of Delaware where she researched the connection between native plant species and insect communities with Dr. Doug Tallamy. She has taught bird-friendly gardening workshops for a decade, and works alongside Baltimore communities to thoughtfully increase publicly-accessible, biodiverse green spaces.
