Nature-inspired design or biomimicry is being showcased all over the world. From trains shaped like kingfisher beaks to highways modeled after slime molds, leveraging nature’s genius is proving to be a fantastic way for humans to make our inventions and systems more efficient.
This workshop acknowledges that we’re all designers, creating plans for our days, our processes, and our systems, and teaches participants how to leverage nature to improve their work. This class uses a combination of teaching, activities, and brainstorming to give participants a hands-on experience necessary to incorporate nature-inspired design into their offerings and approaches. Participants will learn what nature-inspired design is, learn how to practice it, and walk away with design ideas relevant to their work.
