Workshop: Envisioning Waterways Around Curtis Bay

June 29 @ 1:30 pm - 4:00 pm

Join us for a workshop exploring your relationship with the waterways of the Patapsco and Harbor after viewing One Chiliad an exhibition of photographs and sculpture by Jann Rosen-Queralt, alongside Toxic Overburden a youth-driven exhibition of environmental injustice from Free Your Voice realized by the Neighborhood Design Center.

Rosen-Queralt will begin with an introduction about her vision and relationship with water then the youth will discuss the next stage of their work, “toxic waterways.” Following this a Masonville Cove and Blue Water Baltimore specialist will present the industrial legacy which transformed the wetlands and waterways around Curtis Bay into “toxic” ones, and Neighborhood Design will lead us in a participatory session imagining/reclaiming our waterways where we can begin to collectively envision how to reuse our waterways. Participants will share their ideas to wrap up the workshop.
