Green Stormwater Infrastructure Planting at Miracle City Church

Miracle City 7th-Day Adventist has partnered with BWB to complete the construction of a campus green retrofit in an effort to mitigate the flooding that occurs along Frederick Ave. in west Baltimore (Irvington). For those that remember, in 2018, Frederick Avenue experienced flooding as high as 8 feet on Frederick Avenue. Since then, BWB has been committed to solving storm water issues in the Westgate, Ten Hills, Tremont, and Irvington communities. The Miracle City project treats an area of 3.02 acres ( impervious acres). The project can filter roughly 79,000 gallons of stormwater before reaching our underground stormwater infrastructure and eventually: Maiden’s Choice Run. The project needs volunteers to assist in planting over 2000 native species!
