Susquehannock Wildlife Conservation Center Tour

June 19 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

Let’s learn how the Susquehannock Wildlife Society protects our local wildlife through conservation, research, and the rescue and transportation of injured or sick animals to local rehabilitation centers. We’ll tour their newly opened Susquehanna Wildlife Conservation Center to view the exhibits and live animal aquariums. We’ll discuss their work with wildlife rescues, ongoing wood turtle research, and their work collecting eDNA for the Eastern hellbender survey. We’ll finish up with a one-mile loop hike to look for birds and wildlife along Hopkins Branch, a managed meadow, forested hillside, and vernal pools. A portion of your registration fee will go directly to support the science at the Society.
