Baltimore City Recreation and Parks

May 16 | 9:30 AM - 1:00 PM

Baltimore City Weed Warriors program is an official park stewardship program that provides training and support for those interested in removing non-native invasive plants from local ecosystems. Volunteer stewards who complete their certification are able to work independently and/or lead events on Baltimore City Recreation & Parks properties. All are welcome to attend the classes to learn more about non-native invasives and how to effectively manage them.

Stewards completing the new Pathway 1 series will learn to identify and remove the following species: Asiatic bittersweet, Japanese honeysuckle, porcelainberry, English ivy, and mile-a-minute.
