The Blue Jay’s Perch at Johns Hopkins Eastern is a space for Johns Hopkins students, faculty, staff and community members to learn, teach, and practice safe and environmentally sustainable food production methods. It is place for building long-term and meaningful relationships within the Johns Hopkins community and with residents in the city of Baltimore.
Johns Hopkins affiliates and Baltimore community members can reserve a free 4′ x 8′ plot for an entire season. There are also many opportunities to volunteer at the garden; just drop by during any volunteer day. Check below for more information.
All are welcome to volunteer at our garden workdays which usually happen Saturday or Sunday mornings and Tuesday afternoons. Check our Facebook page for exact times and dates. Community meetings happen once per season.
