Brandon C. Bukowski, PhD, is dedicated to discovering new catalysts for a more sustainable future that benefits all.

Jerry L. Burgess, PhD, is Director of the Environmental Science and Studies program in the Department of Earth and Planetary Sciences. His research interests are highly interdisciplinary utilizing the disciplines of biology, ecology, geology, and soil science to explore basic petrologic, environmental policy, or conservation science issues.

Tom Burke, PhD, MPH, applies the risk sciences to assess the impacts of environmental pollution and advance policies to protect our health.

Stuart Chaitkin is a retired energy policy analyst. Chaitkin currently offers a course for BSPH graduate students called "Energy, Environment, and Public Health."

William Checkley, M.D., PhD, specializes in intensive care medicine. He is an expert in the diagnosis and management of acute respiratory failure and the acute respiratory distress syndrome. His research interests include International lung health, epidemiology, mechanical ventilation and acute lung injury.

Mingwei Chen, PhD, studies the relationship between structure and properties of advanced materials, particularly non-equilibrium and nanostructured materials.
