Andrew Thorne-Lyman, ScD, MHS ’97, is currently interested in exploring the role of fish in meeting the nutritional needs of vulnerable populations in low- and middle-income countries, particularly of young children; studying links between food systems, diet and nutrition and health outcomes; and the development and validation of indicators to measure the effectiveness of nutrition programs.

Collin Timm, PhD, is a senior staff scientist interested in environmental and human microbiomes, as well as plant biology and the effects of environmental conditions on organisms within an ecosystem.

Gretar Tryggvason, PhD, is widely recognized for his contributions to computational fluid dynamics, including to the development of methods for computations of multiphase flows, as well as for pioneering direct numerical simulations of such flows.

Michael Tsapatsis, PhD, combines principles of reaction engineering, mathematical modeling, and materials science with the long-term goal of making industrial production of chemicals both cleaner and more energy efficient.

Polly Walker, MPH, MD, studies the environment, sustainable agriculture, food security and ecology.

Chao Wang, PhD, is primarily interested in photochemical solar cells, green engineering, and high-performance catalysts.
