Vendor | Green Products | Company Point of Contact |
Avantor | Through our Environmentally Preferable Products (EPP) program, we work with our suppliers to designate sustainable products, materials and equipment based on one or more of these attributes: energy efficiency, water efficiency, waste reducing, sustainable materials, low manufacturing impact, safer human & environmental health, sustainable packaging, and product transparency. By providing this product information and additional transparency with our EPP program, our teams can partner with our customers to benchmark sustainable purchasing and identify more sustainable alternatives. You can read more about our EPP program at https://www.avantorsciences.com/us/en/about/environmentally-preferred-products. | Lauren Trunzo Sales Representative [email protected] |
Beckman Coulter | We offer a trade in program for all centrifuges and cell counters. We will recycle the old equipment free of charge for the customers. Equipment has a small amount refrigerant that we recycle and metals that we recycle as well. We also will recycle competitors equipment if a customer purchased a Beckman unit.

Bio-Techne | Bio-Techne has signed a contract to power all electricity at the Minneapolis headquarters on renewable (wind and solar) sources through the local utility (Xcel Energy Renewable Connect program). All operations at this site will benefit from this program.
Bio-Techne signed a letter of commitment with the Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTi), the leading third-party standard to set enterprise-wide reduction targets aligned with the latest climate science. We will be setting Scope 1, 2, and 3 greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions reduction targets for validation through SBTi in 2026. This will allow us to reduce our environmental footprint and work toward decarbonization. Bio-Techne currently has four labs certified to My Green Lab status – two in San Jose, CA and two in Bristol, UK. Bio-Techne received a 2024 Bronze medal from EcoVadis, a reputable sustainability assessment that is often referenced by our customers. The 2024 score puts us in the top 25% of all companies assessed by EcoVadis in that same year. Bio-Techne converted our blue tub from plastic to fully paperboard with moisture resistant coating, which is estimated to reduce annual plastic use by nearly 70,000 lbs. |

Corning Life Sciences | Corning Life Sciences approaches sustainability from many different angles. We design products to use less plastics. We have a wide selection of Eco Choice products, which meet one or more of the following criteria: contain recycled content (pre-consumer or post-consumer), are products designed to enable greater cell production in a smaller footprint with less plastic, or are manufactured using environmental attribute certificates (EACs). Beyond that, over 90% of our manufacturing plants have received the EPA Challenge for Industry – which requires a 10% or more decrease in energy intensity in 5 years or less – at least once. We are also leveraging renewable energy to further reduce our emissions footprint. In 2024, 75% of our global electricity consumption is covered by renewables through a combination of Environmental Attribute Certificates (EACs) from on-site solar and unbundled EAC purchases. At Corning Life Sciences, we believe that end-of-life recycling opportunities are an important enabler for a cleaner environment. We conducted a life cycle analysis of polystyrene pipets, discovering that most emissions resulted from the conversion of fossil fuels into resin and post use product incineration – issues that can be addressed by developing a circular ecosystem.
We encourage our customers to join us in our efforts to divert packaging waste from landfills and take advantage of our Corning Recycling (take back) program. Additionally, Corning has committed to reduce our Scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions by 30% by 2028, in alignment with a 1.5 degree C future scenario. And we pledge to reduce our Scope 3 GHG emissions by 17.5% by 2028, which is well below a 2 degree C future scenario. These are the highlights of our sustainability initiatives. |

Labviva Inc | At Labviva, sustainability is core to our mission of transforming scientific procurement. We operate a digital marketplace that connects life science researchers with suppliers offering environmentally responsible products. While Labviva does not manufacture products directly, we curate and prioritize suppliers whose offerings and operations align with global sustainability goals. | Renald Appiah Key Account Associate [email protected] |
Miltenyi Biotec | While complying with all applicable legal requirements in the countries where we operate, we see it as our duty to optimize our energy consumption and reduce greenhouse gas emissions. This includes promoting energy-efficient practices and integrating renewable energy sources into our operations. In many of our new company buildings, we are replacing gas consumption with heat pump systems, which are significantly more energy-efficient and environmentally friendly. Heat pumps use electricity to transfer heat rather than generating it through combustion, reducing greenhouse gas emissions. Furthermore, we aim to establish an energy management system according to ISO 50001 on our German sites.
As part of our broader sustainability strategy, we decided to establish science-based targets for reducing our greenhouse gas emissions to address climate change and contribute to a low-carbon future. By aligning our environmental objectives with the targets set out in the Paris Agreement, we are joining the global call for climate action, while ensuring that our goals are scientifically grounded and achievable. In line with recommendations set out by the Science-Based Targets initiative (SBTi), the Miltenyi group has set the following targets:
As part of its environmental policy and commitment to sustainability, Miltenyi Biotec is actively investing in photovoltaic projects to reduce its environmental footprint and increase renewable energy consumption across its operations. To date, the company has acquired 6,500 PV modules, with approximately 1,500 already installed. The remaining modules, currently stored in Cologne and Rostock, will be gradually implemented. A key element of this initiative is the in-house execution by Miltenyi FM employees, ensuring high-quality installations and efficiency energy production. Through these measures, the company’s renewable energy capacity will be quadrupled, significantly increasing sustainable energy production and reinforcing its commitment to an environmentally responsible future. Miltenyi Biotec’s substantial increase in PV energy consumption from 2023 to 2024 underscores its dedication to sustainability and clean energy advancements, making this initiative a strong example of its environmental policy in action. Offsetting our carbon footprint is a crucial component of our sustainability approach. We are dedicated to compensating for unavoidable emissions by supporting projects that contribute to global reforestation and carbon sequestration. As part of this commitment, we have partnered with Treedom, a platform that enables companies and individuals to plant trees worldwide. Through Treedom, trees are planted and cared for by local farmers, promoting environmental restoration, biodiversity, and community development. This initiative not only captures CO₂ but also provides long-term socio-economic benefits by supporting sustainable agroforestry practices. Another key initiative is our Eco Packaging program. This reflects our dedication to reducing waste and carbon emissions by: 1) Replacing conventional Styrofoam with a fully recyclable paper-based solution. 2) Using FSC-certified materials. 3) Implementing space-saving designs that significantly reduce transport volume. 4) Ensuring temperature-controlled shipping with validated thermal performance |
