Current Activities:

Recently, the team has been focused on helping some WSE departments switch to electronic account reconciliation. Doing so can not only save paper, but also save employees' time.

Some examples of the team's successes include:

  • In Croft Hall, 6 bottled water dispensers were replaced with Quench filtered water systems. Approximately 60, 5-gallon water bottles are now avoided each month.
  • Occupancy sensors have been installed in several rooms in Barton and Croft Halls.

Green Office Certifications:

Offices can pursue Green Office Certification by completing a sustainability checklist. A score up to 5 feathers can be earned and offices represented by Green Team members are listed below.

Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering

Whiting School of Engineering Dean’s Office

Department of Biomedical Engineering at Homewood

Meeting Schedule & Contact Information:

Ideas in Action

Think before you print.

Office paper is highly recyclable, but a lot gets wasted. Waste reduction is more cost-effective than recycling because it reduces the amount of material that needs to be collected, transported and processed.
